“Catch A Fire”, o álbum que catapultou Bob Marley, Peter Tosh e Bunny Wailer para o estrelato mundial, completou 50 anos no mês de Abril e voltou a entrar na Billboard’s Reggae Albums Chart cinco décadas após a sua estreia.
Juntamente com “Exodus” e “Rastaman Vibration”, “Catch a Fire” reentrou na tabela no número 6, enquanto os outros ficaram em 9º e 10º lugar, respectivamente.
“Catch A Fire” foi lançado em Abril de 1973 e distribuído mundialmente, um ano antes de o grupo assinar com a Island Records.
O álbum, que é considerado por muitos aquele que catapultou o reggae para o mundo, foi gravado maioritariamente nos estúdios Dynamic Sounds, Harry J and Randy, em Kingston.
De acordo com o site oficial de Bob Marley: “[The album was] originally recorded by the Wailers in Jamaica and eventually released with overdubs and a mix overseen by island founder Chris Blackwell at the label’s London headquarters.”
