Rohan Marley, o quarto filho da lenda Bob Marley, encontra-se a defender-se de um processo multi-milionário de uma ex-funcionária, Chloe Villano.
De acordo com os documentos entregues ao tribunal, nos EUA, Villano está a processar Marley e a sua empresa Shashamane Group por 18,7 milhões de dólares por alegado ambiente hostil de trabalho, assédio Quid Pro Quo e rescisão de contrato injusta.
De acordo com Villano, além do ambiente hostil, Marley exigiu “que ele fosse autorizado a engravidá-la” e que ela “não poderia ter relações sexuais com outro homem”, em troca de 10% da sua empresa após dois anos de trabalho.
Marley acusa Villano de difamação e de “exploração” do nome Marley. “This lawsuit is without merit and I intend to vigorously defend myself in court. I will not let any person take advantage of me and exploit my family’s name”, referiu o artista num comunicado.
“The allegation that Chloe Villano was terminated for any illegal reason could not be further from the truth. We are confident Ms. Villano’s claims will be dismissed out of California and, most importantly, will be dismissed on the merits due to of the wealth of evidence we possess demonstrating Ms. Villano’s desire to continue working with me months after she voluntarily resigned in writing as our Company’s CEO.”
