Company Ace Vetures LLC is currently looking at potential sites for the marijuana facility in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, according a report at the “Buffalo Business Journal”.
Ace is a start-up cannabis company whose investors include Rohan Marley, a son of the reggae star whose association with marijuana is famous. Other Ace investors are Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke, co-founder of Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records; Dan Fireman, founder of Boston-based Fireman Capital Partners; and Gee Roberson, co-founder of BPG Music.
Ace Ventures representatives are meeting with Buffalo development leaders June 15, according to the Business Journal report, which cites Buffalo city officials as the source. Ace’s plan includes a 100,000-square-foot, $25 million cannabis R&D and production center, the report said. It could employ up to 50 people.
