UB40 line up a gig in Sandwell Valley Country Park

UB40 will perform in Sandwell Valley Country Park. The band has been constantly on tour since their first gig on February 9, 1979 at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath.

It will be a celebration of their tenth anniversary, for 24,000 people. Alongside Madness, UB40 hold the record for the most time spent in the charts in the 1980s with 214 weeks.

UB40 Live from the Valley will be on Sunday, August 1 and will feature a host of support acts still to be announced. Pre-sale ticket sign up for UB40: Live From The Valley is now open at the dedicated website here. Tickets go on general sale from 10am on Friday, April 9.

They are priced from £35 + booking fee for adults, and £17.50 plus booking fee for youngsters aged from five to 15. Under fives go free.
