Ziggy Marley, Bob’s oldest son, was recently interviewed about his new album, “More Family Time”. The 51-year-old, ended up sharing some details about growing up with a famous dad.
Ziggy was asked about his father during the interview, and he happily showed off his huge collection of family photos that hang in his stairwell. When asked if his dad ever let him win at soccer, Ziggy laughed and said: “No, no. He was very competitive, bro”.
“More Family Time” has been described by “NME” as an “upbeat” and “joyous” album. In it, Ziggy collaborated with some well known names, such as Busta Rhymes, Alanis Morissette, Tom Morello and Lisa Loeb.
The artists says that he got inspiration by his 4-year-old son and his child energy. Marley is also a philanthropist and is the founder of Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment, an organization that works to improve the lives of children in Jamaica and Ethiopia.
He’s also a supporter of Little Kids Rock, which gives free music lessons and instruments to children who might otherwise not have the opportunity to learn. Remember the livestreamed concert he played to celebrate his father’s 75th birthday.
